Booked with Apex to do a six hour wine tasting trip with my wife and inlaws just after xmas.  Ivo picked us up in Danville and took us all around Napa.  He was prompt and very knowledgeable of all the Vineyards and restaurant we planned to go to.  I would very highly recommend Apex to anyone and will most certainly use them again for my next wine tour and I will most certainly request to have Ivo as our driver again.   I had received quotes from a couple other companies and Apex came back with a great price and the large SUV that we preferred.

Thanks Luke!

Our driver, Luke, was awesome - somehow corralled 7 of us for two days and got us to our winery tour appointments on time, both in Napa and Sonoma, and also to dinner in Yountville. Always ready when we were ready, that was great service. Followed the itinerary like a champ! Very efficient and we appreciated the promptness, excellent service. The car was also very nice and would highly recommend to anyone.

Great driver

Our driver was excellent, but wish we had tipped him cash instead of through Apex. A few days later I learned that the driver does not receive the full 18% gratuity that was included in our bill. Going forward I will opt to pay a cash gratuity, that way I know the driver will get the whole thing and can tip according to the service received.

We just want to address and clear up a misunderstanding that you have regarding the drivers gratuity.
Rest assured that the gratuity that we charge for our chauffeurs always goes directly to our chauffeurs after the federal taxes withholdings.
This is a fact. We can guarantee this, and we can always prove this information.
On our reservation breakdown, there is also a gas surcharge that is the companies fee.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad you had a wonderful time being chauffeured around Napa Wine Country by our driver.

Best wine tour EVAR - thanks Eric!

My wife and I had Eric for a Napa Valley wine tour. We had a couple wineries picked out... but for the rest, we told Eric that we wanted to visit smaller, less well-known boutique wineries that specialize in our favorite varietals. We were blown away. Eric called ahead to make appointments, introduced us to some incredible wineries (and restaurants), and was very knowledgeable. Equally important, he's a great guy that we enjoyed spending our day with. Thanks Eric - we'll be back soon!

We used this company for our annual napa trip.

Apex limo service truly shines. Their service is flawless from start to finish.

Their telephone customer service rep was very nice, professional and responsive. The customer service rep instantly came up with the quote, explained all the details and options. Within minutes she emailed me with the confirmation details and the whole service was booked in no time. 

Our driver, Sasha, was great. He was punctual, very knowledgeable, friendly, and knew his way around Napa like the back of his hand. 

We didn't have a set plan for the day, so we asked him for some suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised with the recommendations Sasha provided.

He first asked us what we liked to drink at home and what we were planning to get out of this day, and based on our answers and likes, he designed such a cool and unforgettable  day for us. This day ended up being the highlight of our trip.

 

On top of that, our limo was spotless and had a bar that included alcohol. We didn't really touch the hard stuff, but it was nice to drink champagne on the way to the wineries. The limo also included plenty of water and non alcoholic drinks. 

Their service is flawless from start to finish. Highly recommend Apex limo and Sasha.

Alex Is Top Notch!

We so enjoyed the service that Alex provided. I don't know what I expected, but this gentleman sets the bar in the stratosphere for others to match! He is very friendly and gracious, and instantly had a plan for us when we didn't have a specific itinerary in mind. The car he had for us was an amazing Lexus sedan that was super comfortable and super clean. I've been in more limos than I can count, and usually after a jerky ride in the back seat of a strange smelling Town Car, I don't feel well. Alex is a great driver--with him in the driver's seat of that beautiful vehicle, I had practically no sensation of movement. He was so attentive, I was convinced he had hidden a GPS chip in my purse, because he was always RIGHT THERE to pick us up and ready to go even before we knew we were. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. Choose Apex and request Alex. He made our day so pleasant and memorable.

Apex's response to our review is at best misleading:

"After listening to the recorded conversation between Mr. Aaron ***"

Apex's use of one of our party-member's full name on a public forum is telling of what kind of business you're considering using. 

"Chauffeur was on time at pickup location but due to unsuccessful planning on your groups part, your group was late by 30min. To start off the day on a good note  driver gifted the group 30min free time"

This is true and would have been appreciated if not for the fact that our limo ride home was ultimately non-existent, thus rendering the 30 minutes of free time inapplicable.  Regardless, our late arrival is irrelevant to the subject of our complaint.  

"driver went over the contract and let clients know that availability of additional hours past contracted hrs always depend on availability of company. This is a business standard"

This is patently false.   While we do not claim to know what the "business standard" for extended time is in the Napa region, (nor is it relevant), what we are sure of is that we were specifically told that we had an option for an additional hour.  

"All of this was explained to the group at beginning of the charter" 

Untrue.  While Yelp readers will ultimately decide for themselves, I would not be spending my time writing a review about some random limo company located across the country if the above statement were true.

"The clients misunderstood our offer, they also misunderstood that the latest they can be back to their hotel is by 5 pm.  It is our right as a business to reserve additional work for our vehicles after clients contracted time is over"

Again, untrue.  We were assured that we had an extra hour available to us, should we choose to take it.  

Nobody is disputing Apex's right to contract additional work after the conclusion of our contracted time.  However, Apex does not have the right to assure customers of an option, and only after the customer has acted in reliance upon that option (including $240 of tasting fees at Stag's Leap), rescind that option.

"Aaron demanded a $300 reimbursement for the $100 taxi ride that all clients shared"

We reserved a limo to take us between Napa vineyards.  If we wanted to save $, we would have taken a cab.  Put differently (and I hope this would be abundantly clear to a limo company), Cab does not equal Limo!  $100 was never adequate compensation. 

"Aaron also asked about canceling next days charter at which point Mary referred to the Terms and Agreement contract Aaron was emailed when he booked"

After clearly breaching our oral agreement on day 1 and leaving us high and dry without a ride home from Stag's Leap, we had no reason to believe that Apex would perform satisfactorily on the second day.  Additionally, the limo driver on day 1 was horrible.  He could not provide us with any of the interesting information that we had read about in other reviews, nor could he answer even our most basic Napa-related questions.   Put differently, our desire to cancel our second day was merely our attempt to cut our losses.  

Also, our desire to cancel the second day is irrelevant.  We performed our end of the bargain (paid in full).  The subject of the complaint is Apex's failure to hold up their end.

"A week went by and we get a one star review...We emailed the billing client and let him know that since Rebecca is still upset she had to pay $100 for taxi, we will make a one-time compensation for taxi."

This is true.  Upon realizing that we were willing to write a negative complaint when provided with sub-par service, Apex offered us $100 in exchange for removing the review.  We were unimpressed and all agreed that we would prefer that the complaint stay in place to inform potential customers of our bad experience.

"Aaron  responded and let us know that he wanted the full amount of the charter refunded. He wanted a 100% refund"

This is true.  We did not think that anything less than a full refund was worth removing the negative review.  If all Yelp customers that wrote negative reviews ultimately pulled the reviews upon receiving some small recompense, the whole purpose of Yelp would be defeated.  

"We didn't respond to Aaron's email because it was a completely unreasonable demand. The client enjoyed full day of service"

Yes, this is true.  We were provided with a certain service.  It was far less than what we had contracted for and what we paid for.  As such, we opted to write a negative review.  

"7 days after Aaron's email and us not responding, another 1-star review showed up on Yelp...this review was written 1 month after the service was provided and strangely enough, only 7 days after our refusal to pay Aaron full refund he demanded... I feel confident saying this group had an agenda to extract as much money as they could from us" 

You figured us out!  Our diabolical scheme is up!  

Apex sucked.  I don't know if they always suck but they certainly might.

There are two sides to every story. After conducting a full investigation of the charters--including listening to the recorded conversation between Mr. Aaron O'Dell and dispatcher--we would like to take this opportunity to explain ours.
Aaron O'Dell reserved limo for Friday, Nov 2nd, 10am-4pm. Chauffeur was on time at pickup location but due to unsuccessful planning on your groups part, your group was late by 30min. To start off the day on a good note  driver gifted the group 30min free time. He called office, approved it by himself -for you to have your full 6hrs of wine tasting.
At the beginning of charter, driver went over the contract and let clients know that availability of additional hours past contracted hrs always depend on availability of company. This is a business standard but we prefer to point this out to clients so there are no misunderstandings. Driver let you and the rest of clients know that the group needed to finish by 4:30pm, in order to be gifted  30min free time. He also explained that absolute latest time you could be dropped off at hotel is 5pm, if you were to be back at the hotel by 5pm, we would charge our regular hourly rate.
You and rest of the clients knew  there was no availability for additional hours past 5pm because this vehicle had other obligations in the evening starting at 6 pm. All of this was explained to the group at beginning of the charter, and given that all clients in the vehicle understood this and were fine with this, the wine tour began. At 4pm at Stag Leap, driver reminded clients they had to start heading to the hotel to arrive there by 5pm (approximate travel time from Stag Leap to the hotel is 45 minutes). The clients misunderstood our offer, they also misunderstood that the latest they can be back to their hotel is by 5 pm.
It is our right as a business to reserve additional work for our vehicles after clients contracted time is over, but the party didn't want to leave the last winery and chose to stay instead. We received a phone call from Aaron O'Dell at 9pm stating that he was upset they had to catch a taxi and paid additional money for their taxi from the last winery to hotel. Aaron O'Dell demanded a $300 reimbursement for the $100 taxi ride that all clients shared. 
To keep the client satisfied and take a "client is always right approach," I approved a $50 discount off  their next day charter as a compensation for taxi ride. I would like to clarify that we offered this compensation even though there was no fault on our side, but we wanted the clients to stay happy with our service. Aaron O'Dell also asked about canceling next days charter at which point Mary referred to the Terms and Agreement contract Aaron O'Dell was emailed when he booked. After his reservation was made we sent the contract to him to review the policies including the cancellation policy outlined in our Terms & Conditions Reservation Agreement. Our cancellation policy is clearly written on the bottom of the confirmation email. Client accepted $50 reimbursement and it was applied as discount for their next day charter, and received a free upgrade to a larger limo for the next day. Our understanding was that problem was resolved.
A week went by and we get a one star review from Rebecca W. on yelp. We emailed the billing client --Aaron O'Dell-- and let him know that since Rebecca is still upset she had to pay $100 for taxi, we will make a one-time compensation for taxi. This compensation offer would be on top of the $50 applied to their second day charter--i.e. we were offering them $150 for a $100 taxi ride.
After one more week Aaron O'Dell responded and let us know that he wanted the full amount of the charter refunded. He wanted a 100% refund and told us he was willing to make a switch and remove the negative review if we paid out and gave him a full refund. He also mentioned that he didn't want to "haggle" and  it was the only pay out he was looking for. We didn't respond to Aaron O'Dell's email because it was a completely unreasonable demand. The client enjoyed full day of service and used all of the contracted hours with a professional chauffeur who has been with our company for 5 years. 
7 days after Aaron's email and us not responding, another 1-star review showed up on Yelp. Client who reviewed us negatively was again from Aaron O'Dell's charter. Review was written by Kaitlin M. She reiterated same points as the first 1-star reviewer. Only this review was written 1 month after the service was provided and strangely enough, only 7 days after our refusal to pay Aaron O'Dell full refund he demanded. After reviewing this incident, I feel confident saying this group had an agenda to extract as much money as they could from us. However, our offer to reimburse the group $100 for your taxi ride is still open. We are confident that we did everything we could to satisfy you and the rest of the clients in your group. I am aware some people are not satisfied no matter how hard you try.

Great Service!!!!

We had the best experience with Apex and loved our driver Alex!!!! I would give them more stars if we could. They were punctual, clean, helpful, and a very fair price. We were upgraded at no charge as well. Alex was very knowledgeable and couldn't have been more lovely. A great day!!!!

Best time we have had in Napa

We had an amazing experience in Napa, all thanks to Alex at Apex. Alex arrived on time in a meticulously clean SUV and was immediately a pleasure to talk to. He has been doing tours in Napa for 9 years and had a wealth of knowledge about the wineries in the area. Alex helped guide us to some great wineries that were off our initial list and we were very glad he did! He even set us up with a one on one tour with a family owned winery that isn't on any map. Overall, the the service was fantastic and Alex truly made this a memorable trip for us.

Stop Looking and Book Apex

We stayed outside of Napa and our driver/guide Bruce was right on time. What an amazing, memorable day we had as Bruce guided us through Napa listening intently so that he could guide us to the places he thought we would enjoy. He made everything effortless while telling us stories about the families that own the vineyards and estates. Bruce answered questions about wineries, the wine making process, area attractions and anything else we could think of. When we went to lunch at a terrific restaurant, perfectly suited to celebrating our special occasion, of course we took Bruce with us. How could we not? It felt like he was a member of our family!

I, too, was disappointed with my experience with Apex.  I was part of Rebecca W's group, so I echo everything she has to say.  In addition, I want to emphasize how difficult it was to work with Apex.  Once we realized how their first day of service did not live up to what they promised, we wanted to cancel our reservation for the following day.  Not only was Mary rude and unhelpful, she threatened us with additional fees if we canceled our reservation.  She said that even if we were disappointed with our experience, we would still be charged for the limo service for the following day.  She cited their non-cancellation policy.  On the phone, Mary said that people have tried to fight with Apex about this specific issue before, but they have lost. Basically, once you book with this company, you are stuck with it, regardless of how they perform under the contract.

 I would recommend that no one uses Apex.

Great limo service!

I was so incredibly pleased with my Apex experience. I will be using them any time I need a limo in the future in Napa. The limos are nice and clean and the workers are so helpful on the phone. Our driver was Mario and he was the BEST!! I am going to ask for him every time now. Always early and so nice and helpful. All in all, apex was one of the best limo services I have ever used. I will definitely be using them again soon!

Napa Valley

My Wife and I did a day trip to Napa. We had booked with APEX a month prior and when the day arrived APEX 's driver, LEO was punctual. The y sent us an SUV even though we had ordered a regular town car. LEO was very knowledgeable, friendly, and knew his way around Napa. We had some wineries planned for the day, but we also asked Leo for some suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised with the recommendations Leo provided. He first asked us what we liked to drink at home and what we were planning to get out of this day, and based on our answers and likes, he brought us to some great wineries. Leo even came into some of the wineries o check in on us and even offered to take pictures of us both. This day was unforgettable for us that we went over 3 hours with our trip. This day ended up being the highlight of our trip. Leo, also included plenty of water which was needed after all the wine drinking. We are looking to do this trip again next year and will definitely book APEX and will be asking for Leo. Their service is flawless from start to finish. Highly recommend Apex limo and Leo.

Napa Valley

My daughter and I were vacationing for the weekend in San Francisco and decided at 9 p.m. on Saturday night that we'd rather spend Sunday in Napa as we had experienced enough of the city life. I had used Apex in October so I called them and they were able to set me up for the next day even though it was on extremely short notice. Alex M., our driver, was a total delight! My daughter is 18, so he set up a tour of Napa that she would enjoy even though she was unable to do wine tasting. We first went to Castillo di Amoroso, which was a stunning medieval castle, then on to Frank Family vineyards for a picnic, and then to Inglenook, where she was able to get a mocha at the Bistro, and then we toured the museum there. On the way back to San Francisco, Alex suggested we might want to stop by Treasure Island, where we paused to take beautiful pictures of the San Fran skyline. What a fabulous day!
