I reserved a driver from Apex for our day of wine tasting in Sonoma/Calistoga based on other reviews from Yelp and Trip Advisor. Every aspect of their service was flawless from the time I called to reserve (and had many questions) to their timely arrival for pick-up to the AMAZING driver, Andre, that we were assigned.

Andre picked us up at our Inn in Napa and waited at each winery within sight of the exit each time. Andre would even get out of the car when we appeared to be done at the tasting to see if we wanted him to take any pictures for us. How nice is that?! The large SUV was in perfect condition and came equipped with lots of bottled water (which is critical when tasting all day!) It was a great size and set-up for 2 couples. It was also great having somewhere to leave personal items that we did not want to bring into the tasting (like our picnic lunch) knowing that Andre was with the car 100% of the time.

While we already had selected the wineries that we wanted to visit, Andre was clearly knowledgeable on the area and could have recommended many other spots for us if we wanted to take more than our 6 hours. He was friendly throughout the day and answered any questions we had about the area, the various wineries, etc. I highly recommend you use Apex, specifically Andre, for your next wine tour. Chauffeur Bruce Mello Rocks

Bruce Mello was our driver and guide. He was extraordinary. Bruce knew Napa Valley and took us on an amazing wine tour. We laughed, we giggled and we learned a lot while having tons of fun. We are locals and had friends visiting from Charlotte, North Carolina. If you are in Napa make sure you wind up in Bruce's limo. You will be set for a fabulous day. Best Pat, Larkspur, California.

We traveled to Napa for our honeymoon in August. We only had 2 1/2 days in Napa so we wanted to try to get the most out of it that we could. Apex had a great deal that got us 7 hours for $490! It was really worth it. We had Bruce as a driver who was really more a tour guide than just a door opener.

We started at Silver Oak and then Bruce really gave us a back stage pass to the area. He explained where and what everything was along the way giving interesting insight to the region. The places we stopped were the real Napa wineries rather than the corporate places that charge and arm and a leg and really don't care about who you are or your story.

I would recommend this tour over many others because of the value, the price, Bruce, and it seemed better than other tours we ran into during the day.

Also, we ended up adding another hour because we didnt want the day to stop. I hope it was okay with Bruce who was a great sport the entire day. By the end of it all, I think he was my wife's new best friend.

Apex Tours Bruce Mello

My family and I booked Apex tours for our trip to Napa for my 30th birthday. I was so very pleased with the customer service time that was taken to speak to both me and my sister about how everything was to run. I received a quote and timely answers to my questions from Nelli, who was very courteous! We have never visited wine country before and needed some great guidance. This was fulfilled through Bruce Mello, our driver. He truly was a wine expert. He took time to sit and chat with us to get to know what it is we might like to do (since we had NO IDEA). We had reserved the 6 person limo and he brought the 8 person free of charge! However, his knowledge on the area, where and when to go, and his expertise are quite priceless.
We had an absolute blast on our day through wine country! Bruce told us that if we wanted to go over our reserved time he was open to whatever we needed or wanted.
This tour was THE highlight of our family trip to San Francisco!
I would book with Bruce EVERY time!!
I would like to thank him for making such memories for me and my family on the rare occasion we can all be together!

Napa Valley with Bruce Mello

My friends and I visited Napa Valley for the first time this weekend. We were so fortunate to have met Bruce Mello because he became a friend and was an excellent tour guide! Bruce Mello was very friendly and informative and tried to make the experience enjoyable and tailored to our preferences! Experiencing Napa Valley would not have been so great with out Bruce, he strives to create a memorable adventure leaving you with the desire to come back!

We booked APEX Transportation back in April for a 6 hour limo tour. When I called, they were very professional and efficient. I got a confirmation call the day before, which was so nice for me. Our driver was Mario and he was FABULOUS!!! He was professional, punctual, and friendly. He was very helpful in our tour for the day and also called in a burger order for us along the way so we didn't have to wait in the long lines! I would hire APEX again in a heart beat and definitely ask for Mario. He was wonderful!!!

Great Limo Driver-Bruce Mello

We rented a limo from Apex and Bruce Mello was our driver for the day in Napa Valley. I was with my wife and another couple. We had a few ideas but Bruce had better ideas about which wineries to visit. He took us to Regusci winery where we got a private tour from the GM and he even opened up a bottle from their private library collection in the cellar. Bruce knew the GM so he took great care of us. Bruce was also instrumental in making the day very enjoyable. We will definetely be back to Napa and will call Bruce up for another day trip. Thanks for a great day Bruce.

Best way to see Napa!

We learned after our first trip to Napa that you don't get the full experience unless you have a pregnant person in your party or a voluntary designated driver - unfortunately on that trip we had neither:-( This time around we searched dilligently for the "best" car service in Napa. Best for me BEFORE the trip was clean, dependable and a good value. I had NO idea that the best car service would also be as valuable as getting to the right wineries. Bruce was our man and was simply outstanding. Great service, incredible knowledge, very honest (we had suggested some wineries based on wines we liked and he gave us perspective on the "wines, wineries and experience"). It was pricey - $490 for 6 hours - but WELL WORTH IT! I learned a ton from him and got into places I would have never even thought about and had an outstanding time. Used a different service on day #2 through the hotel (Apex was booked as we didn't try and make day #2 arrangements until the day before) that was good, but because of Apex and Bruce, was not nearly as outstanding as the day before. Would definitely use them again and will look forward to being treated like royalty again the next time we are in Napa/Sonoma!

Bruce was the best!

We booked a limo for 2 days and it was a blast. Bruce was very informative and gave great recommendations. He even gave us personal introductions at the wineries. The limo was clean and had many a/v options. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitly recommend Apex and Bruce for your next trip.

I picked Apex upon the recommendation of our travel adviser as it was my wife's birthday, this was our first trip to Napa, and I wanted things to be seamless. Front office staff were prompt and efficient. Leo was an ideal chauffeur for us as he was knowledgeable, attentive and had a great deal of "local knowledge" that allowed us glimpses of wineries and restaurants off the well-traveled path. He had a projected itinerary each day, but was open to adjusting it as our interests dictated. He also had a pleasing mixture of being present and backing off so we could do things alone. Strongly recommended.

sasha was awesome!

I reserved a 6 passenger limo and sasha arrived in a 10 passenger at no extra charge. He was there on time (10 minutes early) and gave us great recommendations for the day. He even called a family friend with a private winery to have a tasting for us. He made bathroom stops and food stops and was very pleasant. We would all recommend him again for friends and family in the future. When I go back to Napa Valley, I am using APEX!

It was our 1st trip to Napa, we had no idea which wineries to visit, Matt picked out great ones for us. He was very informative about the area. I highly recommend Apex and Matt if possible.

Bruce is awesome!

We reserved two full days and had the best experience, catered just for us, thanks to Bruce, our driver! A bottle of champage upon arrival, excellent recommendations, personal tour at Amarosa de Castella and personal introductions at the wineries. Awesome!!! The limo was clean and has a variety of a/v options, but Bruce made all the difference in going the extra mile to make it special for us! We will be back! Thanks, Bruce! - a very appreciative group of ladies from San Diego :-)

Apex Limo was great. We drove in a beautiful and spacious Lexus around Sonoma wineries. While this isn't the usual destination for Apex (they often stay in Napa) Alex was friendly, helpful and entertaining during our afternoon tour. Thanks!

APEX limo service to Napa

We traveled from SF to Napa for a day of wine tasting. We booked w/ Apex for a 6 hr. tour, our driver was on time and very informative about the Napa area. The day before our visit to wine country, we recieved a call confirming our car ( which I appreciated) and had a great experience thanks to Apex, Matt(our driver) and several wineries :)

We celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday but with the help of Apex Limo it felt like the real day.  My mom had never been in a Limo and neither had my cousin so this was a treat.  The Limo was spectacular, clean beautiful and well stocked.  Mario was an excellent driver, my mom even commented on how smooth the ride was.  Thank you Apex Limo for making a special day even that much more special.

Reliable service but not first class

I ordered limo service one Saturday in April 2012 and Alex was my driver. I was going to two wineries with a friend and Alex was definitely prompt for the pickup. He required me to process my credit card in advance of the trip even though I had already give Apex the info when I booked. (not a big deal just somewhat of a surprise)

Even though we planned for only two wineries, Alex convinced us (my friend) to hit two more wineries he suggested - they were Von Strasser and Reverie. I had been to Reverie before and knew it to be good so I agreed.

Alex knew the roads in Napa and stayed off the main roads to make better time so this was good. However, his service beyond driving was "off". At one winery while we were tasting in the tasting area, he literally followed us around. The winery had a specific air conditioned room for limo drivers and I suggested he relax there but he refused and continue to "lurk" near us.

Also at Reverie after wine was purchased, Alex clearly got a kick back from the winery in the form of a bottle of their most expensive Reserve Cab. (I was not comfortable with this) (in fairness, Alex explained when he was given this wine that he had previously purchased it but I seriously doubt it given the timing, the fact that it was one bottle, etc)

Overall, the service was acceptable and but not professional and upscale as you would expect from a limo company in Napa. I would not use them again.

I'm glad you had a great time overall in Napa. At this time I would like to just address a few misunderstanding that you had about our company and your chauffer Alex B.

The processing of the credit card at the beginning of the charter shouldn't have been a surprise to you and your party because when we sent you the confirmation, it clearly stated at the bottom of the contract that all balances need to be paid to the driver on the run date before the beginning of the run. It is part of our procedures and we let the clients know of our procedures by sending them a contract ahead of time to review our Terms and Agreements at the bottom of the confirmation.

On the day of the pickup you had two wineries planned out. You later asked your chauffeur for recommendations to additional wineries. That is when he recommended Reverie winery which is a great winery. You mentioned yourself that you knew the winery and have been there before and you agreed to go.

We don't 'convince' our clients to visit places they don't want to see. If a client asks for our suggestions, our job is to only offer or recommend wineries that we feel our clients will enjoy.

In your case you had only 2 wineries preplanned for the day. You asked for some suggestions from your driver and he recommended the winery that you already liked so you agreed to go.

When Alex B. scheduled your appointment for you at the next winery he went over to you to notify you about the appointment time. You called it 'lurking'. I already talked to Alex B. to make sure that next time he will just call or text the client while they are at the winery. I think he was just excited that he was able to schedule your appointment on a busy day on Saturday at the last minute and he went over to you to share this good news.

To address the incident at the winery, let me just confirm that your driver bought a bottle of wine for his personal purposes. All of the drivers have industry discounts and we allow our drivers to buy wine for their personal and after hour use while their clients are at the winery doing a tasting or touring the winery.

In my opinion this doesn't interfere with client experience at the winery at all, therefore we don't see a problem with this and we allow it.

Let me just mention that Reverie releases premium products and they have plenty of business. They don't need to do kickbacks.

There are three chauffeurs at Apex with the name Alex:

Alex M. who is our full time employee.

Alex B. and Alex D. are our part time chauffeurs.

All three chauffeurs provide very professional service, have great customer service skills, and meet and exceed our standards regularly.
